    The challenge

    Where they started

Skyline Concrete and Services does residential and commercial concrete work across Fort Collins and Northern Colorado. Like a lot of small businesses, they handed their marketing to an agency early on and let that agency set everything up.

The problem was who that setup belonged to. The agency owned Skyline's domain. It controlled their website. Skyline didn't have access to their own Google Business Profile.

When the relationship ended, all of it went with the agency. The website was deleted. The Google Business Profile was suspended, and Skyline had no way in to fix it. And to get their own domain back, the agency wanted a buyout of several thousand dollars.

By the time Skyline reached out to us, they were desperate. No website. No Google profile. No traffic. Zero organic searches finding them on Google. No access to anything that brought in customers.

    Our approach

    What we did

We walked side by side with Skyline to get every asset back, then rebuilt on a foundation they own.

    • 1

Getting the domain back, for $0. We reviewed Skyline's contract with the previous agency and found they had already fulfilled its full term. The buyout wasn't owed. We worked with Skyline to transfer the domain into their name without paying a dollar.

    • 2

Reinstating the Google Business Profile. We worked through the suspension and got the profile reinstated. Once it was back in good standing, we transferred primary ownership from our company to Skyline.

    • 3

A new website, fast. We built a custom-coded website powered by AI, with clear service pages, click-to-call buttons, and local SEO built in for Fort Collins and the surrounding communities.

    • 4

Back online in 10 business days. From the day Skyline reached out, we had everything back up and running within 10 business days.

    • 5

A verified map pin. We then walked them step by step through Google's video verification, so Skyline has a verified physical location on Google Maps.

Today Skyline owns all of it outright: their Google Business Profile, Google Search Console, website, domain, everything. If they ever leave us, it all goes with them.

    The results

    What they got back

Skyline went from a suspended Google Business Profile and a deleted website to 10+ organic leads a month.

The biggest shift was who's finding them. Within 4 months, Skyline went from zero organic searches finding their profile to showing up for discovery searches, the searches homeowners make when they need concrete work and don't have a company in mind yet.

    Discovery searches

Found by people who'd never heard of them.

    0 → in 4 months

Discovery searches are searches for a service, not a business name. These homeowners weren't looking for Skyline. They were looking for concrete work, and Google showed them Skyline.

    • "concrete caisson near me"

Searches that showed Skyline's Google Business Profile, from Google's performance report. Google shows low counts as <15 and shortens long search terms.

Skyline's Google Business Profile performance report.

The search "concrete" alone found their profile 49 times. "Concrete fort collins" found it 23 times. Specific searches like "best concrete resurfacing companies near me" and "concrete caisson near me" started showing up too. Every one of those is a homeowner who had never heard of Skyline before.

All of it is organic. They spend $0 on ads, and they paid $0 to get their domain back. Every lead comes from a website, a Google Business Profile, and a map pin that Skyline owns outright.

And they never have to worry about losing it again. No agency can delete their site, hold their domain hostage, or lock them out of their own profile. It's theirs.

A warning for every business owner

If your agency owns it, you don't.

This happens to small businesses all the time. When you're starting out, you hand your marketing to an agency because you don't have time to learn it. They set up your website, your domain, and your Google Business Profile, all under their name. It works fine until the relationship ends. Then you find out none of it was ever yours.

    Ask your agency today

    • Is my domain registered in my name?
    • Am I the primary owner on my Google Business Profile?
    • Do I own my Google Search Console?
    • Can I take my website with me if I leave?
    • Do I have my own logins to everything?

At RallyPoint, the answer is always yes. No contracts, and you own everything we build for you.
